Penance

Night after night, night after night,

Unloved, by man and divine;

As still as a bloodied moon

Upon a painted skyline.

Death, death, every where,

O’ how their hope did sway;

Death, death, every where,

None will live to see the day.

  1. strong and powerful Poem – I remember Khalil Gibran was said about Penance:

    The purpose of the spirit in the
    Heart is concealed, and by outer
    Penance cannot be judged.

  2. The picture goes very well with the poem. It sounds like something said on a dark night over a campfire on a battle campaign.
