Life’s Expedition

(A 2-minute poem challenge written briefly this morning.)

Walking, fragmented
A desolate street
Tattered and hollow
Laced with deceit
Secret destinations
Whispered in passing
Twisted thoughts echo
Forever everlasting
Empty questions
With vain replies
The living walk onward
While another corpse cries.
